Cyclists Stay Safe

These images Jason shot for Transport for London have just come out on billboards and bus shelters across London.

It may look like we got lucky with the weather; the shoot day falling on a rare sunny day in London. But unfortunately the reality was far from it... It was one of the coldest days of the year with sub zero temperature and grey, cloudy sky. 

Here's the "before" picture (scroll right down for the "after"). Jason and Dan, still blissfully unaware of the torture that awaits them. They were stuck up on a 45 metre cherry picker in freezing cold temperature for four solid hours. Dan says the cold rendered the Twix bars they took up with them rock hard. So they were not only cold but starving too!

And up they went....

Ceremony of Remembrance

On the first anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Jason had the honour of being invited to the Ceremony of Remembrance held by the Embassy of Japan in London. It was a very pleasant surprise to find that the Embassy of Japan had been generous enough to acknowledge Jason's charity exhibition Familiar & Distant  in aid of Japan Tsunami Appeal, and had invited him to the event as one of the contributors.

It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since the horrific earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear accident. In fact, it is not so much already but only a year into Japan's long and difficult road to recovery.
